Architecture & Engineering

Permit Approvals

Every governing authority enacts ordinances to regulate construction, maintenance, and remodeling so that the buildings in which we live, work, and play will be safe. The presiding agencies use permits to make sure that the work is done in compliance with those ordinances.

There is a virtual labyrinth of jurisdictional regulation encountered in bringing a self storage facility - or any commercial building - into being. It is never easy, and it is never the same from one project to the next. But one factor holds true: the practice of doing it hundreds of times gives NDS an edge.

General Contracting

There are a number of excellent commercial general contractors out there. They’ve earned their reputations by knowing what they’re doing. If they have not completed numerous successful self storages facilities, they do not know what they’re doing in this specific discipline. You probably don’t want your facility to be the project that they learn on.

Construction Management

NDS selects the best suppliers, negotiates terms, conditions and contracts, ensures goods and services are acceptable, deals with disputes, negotiates changes when necessary, ensures that the vendor or sub contractor is paid in accordance with the agreement and manages the working relationship...for over 20 years.

Inspection Services

Inspections are required by state law and by city ordinance for any work that requires a permit. Inspections make sure that your project meets safety requirements, complies with state law and city codes, and follows the approved plan.

Each commercial construction project and each jurisdictional body will mandate a unique assortment of inspection stipulations. NDS will research, schedule and monitor each required inspection and will assess the resulting inspection report.
